I have been engraving guns by hand since 2010 in my workshop in Katowice, Poland. I engrave hunting guns, pistols, knives and watches: acanthus scrollwork, hunting scenes, portraits and realistic bulino. I work with hand gravers and a GRS pneumatic engraver, with no laser and no machines that cut a pattern from a program. Every engraving starts with a design that the client approves by email. I take commissions from Poland and abroad.
At a glance:

What can be engraved on a gun
I engrave whole guns as well as the small parts an owner holds in their hand every day.
- Hunting guns: an action with an Alpine ibex and acanthus scrollwork with gold inlays, a rifle bolt knob.
- Grip caps: a grip cap with a fox, where the screw became a flower.
- Pistols: a Desert Eagle design with a Tolkien theme.
- Knives: a gold-inlaid folding knife with geese and ducks.
- Watches and other objects: including Rolex and Omega.

My engraving style
I engrave in every style and enjoy unusual projects the most. Most often I engrave classic hunting motifs: acanthus leaf spiral scrollwork, animal scenes and hunting scenes. I am just as happy to take on portraits, landscapes and pop culture images.
I feel closest to the Italian, English and American schools. In bulino I build the image from thousands of tiny dots and lines, so I can transfer a photo of a dog, a game animal or a painting onto steel. I inlay details in gold, for example birds’ beaks or parts of the scrollwork.
How an engraving commission works
- We talk about what you would like to see on your gun. You can send a photo of the motif in any quality, as I rework it for the design anyway.
- I prepare the engraving design and send it to you by email.
- Once the design is approved, I engrave it by hand, line by line, under a microscope and a magnifying glass.
Clients from abroad send the part to a gunsmith I work with in Poland, who disassembles it before engraving.
How long gun engraving takes
The time depends on the size of the motif and how complex the design is. The grip cap with a fox took me about 3 days, 2 of them on the bulino alone. A bolt knob divided into levels usually takes 3 to 4 days. I will give you the exact time with the design.
